AFDA is on an extended term break as per our president's instructions on 15 March as well as 23 March 2020 and for that of the health and safety of our staff and students. 

Please take note of the following important dates:

  • CAMPUSES CLOSED: Friday 27 March - Thursday 16 April 2020
  • CAMPUSES RE-OPEN with skeleton staff of marketing & operations: Friday 17 April 2020
  • LEARNING STAFF RETURN: Tuesday 21 April 2020
  • STUDENTS RETURN TO RE-COMMENCE LECTURES: Tuesday 28 April 2020

2021 Applications are OPEN online: www.afda.co.za 

We are already processing 2021 applications and will communication from Marketing & Admissions Department via email.

Enrolment 2020:

Applications and Enrolment for 2020 will remain open. 

First time enroling students: Marketing and admissions will continue to process online applications and communicate via email on enrolment procedures for first time students. Enrolment procedures will be facilitated via email with the Student Affairs Officer of the campus.

Returning students: Completing online enrolment is still available via https://afda.co.za/Enrolment.html and students can liaise with the Student Affairs Officer of the campus for any queries.

Timetable & Learning Calendar:

Lectures and projects will re-commence on 28 April. EVA and Registry are formulating plans for this and that any academic hours that have been missed in Term 1 will be scheduled for catch up in Terms 2, 3 and 4.

Cleaning Protocols:

Campuses have been undergoing a deep clean and sanitisation, and increased cleaning and sanitisation protocols have been increased throughout each campus. 

Most staff are able to continue working remotely with contact via email.

We encourage you to make the most of your time on this break and continue to practice increased hygiene and social distancing

AFDA is registered as the South African School of Motion Picture Medium and Live Performance, and is a private higher education institution which offers higher certificate and degree programmes. It is registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) as a private higher education institution under the the Higher Education Act, 1997.
