5 AFDA films to screen at Jozi Film Festival 2019

AFDA is delighted to announce that five 2018 graduate films have been selected to screen at the 8th Jozi Film Festival. The films selected include the MFA film “Seapoint 280SL”, directed by Gail Wyness, the honours film “Mej. Twisfontein" directed by Regardt Visser and the 3rd year films, “Sunset Exodus”, directed by Dylan Brokensha, “Beyond Repair”, directed by Chadlee Skrikker and “R.E.M.”, directed by Cara Leane Spence.

The Jozi Film Festival is the longest running multi-genre film festival in the City of Gold is now in it's 8th year. The festival began in 2012 and was initially created to provide a platform for local filmmakers and reach audiences under serviced by traditional cinemas. The Johannesburg-based festival began accepting entries from around the world in 2014 and is now firmly established as one of the sub-continent's leading film festivals. The Jozi Film Festival is proudly independent, and a supporter of independent films.

The 2019 festival takes places from 3-6 October over a 4-day period at various locations in Johannesburg and Soweto.
