AFDA alumni have made a huge impact on the Television Industry both locally and abroad, producing all forms of television content from series to soapies, game shows, magazine shows, tele films and tele novelas. There are the household names like Vuyo Dabula, who plays “Gadaffi” in Generations and Diaan Lawrenson who plays “Paula” in 7de Laan, but hundreds of alumni are also responsible for writing, directing, producing, doing the production design, makeup, cinematography, etc. on the extensive list below, which you grew up watching and, in some cases, are still watching.

AFDA is the South African School of Motion Picture Medium and Live Performance, and is registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training as a private higher education institution under the Higher Education Act, 1997. Registration certificate no. 2001/HE07/012.
