JOB OFFERED: Registrar - AFDA Port Elizabeth

 

Applications are invited for the position of Registrar at AFDA  Port Elizabeth

 

The incumbent will be responsible for:
Quality assurance of a private higher education institution
Student admissions and enrolment 
Consultation with students and parents
Disciplinary procedure 
Managing students at risk of failure and their academic support and development
Warranting of reports, academic transcripts and degrees
Maintenance of accurate student records and archive
Maintain statutory requirements and accreditation
Development and implementation of academic & other institutional policies
Writing reports and statistical analyses on student registration and progress
Liaise with all departments and with external stakeholders
Bursary administration
Offer a central source of information and help to all staff and students
Providing secretarial services to the Senate and its subcommittees
Staff training and other HR administration 
Arranging graduation ceremonies 

Development and implementation of academic & other institutional policies
Writing reports and statistical analyses on student registration and other procedures
Updating Academic Yearbook and other key curriculum documents; coordinating and disseminating information on courses and course guidelines
Reports to Academic Standards Council of AFDA, liaises with Campus Dean, with Heads of Schools, other departments, other campuses and students.

 

Requirements`
A relevant postgraduate degree,   
Experience in academic administration
Experience and passion for student consultation
Computer literacy (MS Word, XCL, internet searches, e-learning) 
Formal communication skills, written and spoken
