AFDA Cape Town 2015 honours alumni, Stephanie Dadet and Timothy Carlson (both currently masters students at AFDA Cape Town), founded a production company Big Bad Wolf Pictures in early 2016.

On November 18- 19, Big Bad Wolf Pictures, in partnership with Ster-Kinekor Cinema Nouveau and the Goethe Institute  will host the Our City Film Project Film Festival  through the company's initiative "Our City Film Project", which is a filmmakers collective comprising of young filmmakers from around the world.

This year the theme is LGBT Films Across All Genres.  53 LGBT shorts (of which 49 are premiering for the first time on African soil), from 89 filmmakers representing over 30 cities around the world and selected from 2310 submissions, all celebrating different aspects of LGBT, will be showcased in a diverse programme spanning across multiple genres - Dramas, Comedies, Documentaries, Animations and Artist Films, including the world's first "Action Musical" - all within the short-film length format, ranging between short-shorts (sub-15 minutes) and long-shorts (15-30 minutes).
