April 29, 2016 11:35 am

AFDA Johannesburg lecturer Nkantu Luscious Dosi and AFDA alumni Tristan Schafer and Sachica Archary have been invited to Lanzhou and South West Gansu – China. They will participate in the programme – Looking China, a cultural experience programme sponsored by Huilin Foundation and hosted by AFDA Institutional Partner, Beijing Normal University (AICCC). This initiative has been running since 2011 and in visiting one of the 14 project destinations, participants discover the charm of both the Han and different Chinese minorities as they work towards the production of a ten minute short film showcasing Chinese ethnography and culture. It is China as seen through a young film maker’s lens. AFDA participants will collaborate with students from the National University of Theatre and Film “I.L.Caragiale” (Romania), Universidad del Cine (Argentina) and University of Buenos Aires (Argentina).

Dates: 4 June to 22 June 2016
