Join us at an AFDA Open Day in 2017

AFDA: The School for the Creative Economy is hosting another 3 Open Days this year. The Open Days, always held on Saturdays are a great opportunity for prospective students and parents to witness and understand the various courses AFDA has to offer, along with meet our brilliant new staff who recently joined the team. At our Open Days you have the opportunity to:

Understand the Creative Economy and what your future career may look like and learn about AFDA’s unique and integrated learning system in all of our registered programmes as well as know more about AFDA’s collaborative, practice-led research based, market related & project driven approach to higher education for creative individuals from Higher Certificate, to Production Course in the Undergraduate degrees to Postgraduate: presented by the Dean (from time to time this is in collaboration with a council member, board member, registrar or AFDA alumni).

-Watch and engage in live practical demonstrations presented by staff and students from each of our schools and programmes: Film, Television, Performance, Business Innovation & Technology (Undergraduate BA, Bcom & BCT) degrees.

FILM is presented by the Head of School, with a team of staff and students, who will shoot a scene of a movie on the Arri Alexa camera in the film studio

TELEVISION, presented the by Head of School with a team of staff and students, will demonstrate the making of a live television show in the television studio

PERFORMANCE is presented by the Head of School with a team of staff and students who demonstrate the process and mediums for performance

BUSINESS INNOVATION & TECHNOLOGY is presented by the Head of School who will demonstrate the future of business and technology, and creating start-ups in the creative economy

-Meet with Higher Certificate or Postgraduate departments about our pre-degree (gap year) or postgraduate degree programmes

-Tour our campus and its venues; view our equipment and facilities

-Collect a prospectus and other relevant materials or information to help you plan your future studies

-Book a consultation to sit with an AFDA staff to answer more questions. These can be booked with the Dean, Head of School, relevant discipline lecturer or another staff member to assist you with your questions

-Use available computers at the campus to apply online with help from an AFDA staff

-Chat to AFDA students about their experience of studying with us

-Find out about AFDA’s tuition fees and get information about financial institutions offering loans
