Student loans
AFDA is registered by Department of Higher Education and Training as a private provider of higher education. Applications for student loans may be made at any of the major banks. Most banks have a range of options for students that are granted sub- ject to terms and conditions. Your letter of acceptance with the AFDA fee structure will be requested by the relevant bank.
Bursaries
Students wishing to apply for bursaries are urged to do so well in advance of the various institutions’ deadlines and to observe all application criteria strictly. The study funds of every student are the responsibility of the individual student. AFDA helps registered students of the institution get onto pos- sible funding lists of a few funders who prefer to work through the institution. This is also subject to the availability of funders, as well as the current student meeting set criteria. For more information, please contact the relevant AFDA campus.
The Mandela Rhodes Scholarship
Each year AFDA nominates two senior students as candidates for what is considered the most prestigious bursary awards avail- able to African students. On an unprecedented three consecutive occasions, this award has been granted to AFDA students!
