Designer Craig Leo back on AFDA Cape Town Campus

Once again this year, Cape Town Theatre Designer, Theatre Maker and Puppeteer, Craig Leo ran a fabulous Design Workshop for AFDA 3rd year Live Performance , Production Design  and Costume Make-up and Styling students. AFDA staff also snatched the opportunity and attended the workshop.

Craig is a South African puppeteer, performing artist and production designer. He has collaborated with Magnet Theatre for 20 years as a designer and performer. His involvement with Handspring Puppet Company has been extensive and includes creating the lead role of the horse in the award winning War Horse at London’s National Theatre. During the second half of 2012 Craig was appointed as the Assistant Puppetry Director of War Horse in Australia. He has numerous design credits including extensive work with Magnet Theatre, FTH:K , Jazzart and others. He received a Fleur du Cap Design Award in 2014 for his design of Magnet Theatre production Voices Made Night. He continues to travel internationally as performer and designer.
