AFDA Johannesburg students &staff @ the National Arts Festival 2016

A new devised piece of theatre from the 2016 Honours Students at AFDA in Johannesburg is to be presented at the National Arts Festival as part of the Student Theatre Festival. The 60-minute piece entitled “A Tiny Hum – Humanity” has been workshopped by cast members Thabo Thejane, Tempo Mohale, Perebo George, and Annelize Erasmus.

A Tiny Hum – Humanity is on at the festival as follows:

Wednesday 6 July 11:00 – 12:00 Rehearsal Room

Thursday 7 July 19:00 – 20:00 Rehearsal Room

Staff from AFDA Johannesburg campus are also active at this year’s Arts Festival:

Liezl de Kock, Production Course Lecturer/Researcher

At NAF in the capacity of performer/co-creator and producer for the show: “Heart’s Hotel”.

Tristan Jacobs, also a Lecturer/researcher in Production Course

Will be at NAF in the capacity of performer-creator/producer for “Kochira” and producer/advising-director for the show: “Death of a clown”.

Lien van der Linde, Lecturer: Production Design/Costume Make up and Styling will be at NAF in the capacity of set designer and technical support for the show: “Search for signs of intelligent life in the universe”.

Khutjo Green, Lecturer in the School of Live Performance is also taking part in NAF as Director of several productions.
