Last year in an unprecedented move, UK company Journeyman Pictures added the SA release ‘Triomf’, co-written by AFDA Cape Town Head of Production in Postgraduate Studies, Malcolm Kohl, to their iTunes stables. In a surprise turn, the number of units sold by ‘Triomf’ outstripped expectation and beat some of their UK titles.

‘Triomf’ ran for three months in South Africa 2009/10 to rave reviews, and in France as well. It opened a season of South African films at the National Film Theatre in London in 2010, before its London release at the Ritzy Cinema and the Curzon Wimbledon.

The film is now, at last, available to download or rent from iTunes or Vimeo.
